Nokia announced that they are launching 3 new social networking mobile phones at their Everyone Connect Event in London recently.

Nokia has launched the Nokia C3, Nokia C6 and Nokia E5. All three of which run on the Symbian platform and support multiple email accounts, instant messaging and social networks.
The Nokia C3 will be based on Symbian Series 40, and is the first full QWERTY messaging phone in that series. It will have access to Facebook, Twitter and other major social networks, right on the homescreen. It will also include Ovi Mail, Ovi Chat, Wi-Fi, a 2-megapixel camera, and a 2.4-inch screen. You pick your color of choice, Nokia will offer a variety of colors. It will be a light, good entry level messaging phone, and will run on GSM networks
Nokia’s C6 on the other hand will be a full Symbian powered smartphone, running Symbian S60 5.0. The C6 will support HSDPA/WCDMA 850/900/1900/2100 and GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 networks. It will have a 3.2 inch touch screen, and sliding QWERTY keyboard. The bigger screen will allow the user to have all their social networking feeds, right on the homescreen. A larger 5 megapixel camera will be offered, and a front facing camera for video chatting. It will be bundled with OVI Maps for free navigation, full email and IM support. Apparently will have 7 hours of talk time and 5 hours on 3G networks, and is rumored to be able to run AT&T’s 3G network. Should be available worldwide in Q2 of this year.


Finally, the Nokia E5 is the business orientated model of the bunch. It will be a full feature smartphone with social networking. Based of the Nokia E72, it will have a 2.4? QVGA display, 5 megapixel camera, HSDPA, GPS, and wifi. Also it will offer full support for Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes. No real spectacular features, just a run of the mill business phone. It will offer good battery life impressive 29 days on standby along with 18 hours 30 minutes on GSM and about 5+ hours on 3G.

Intex has announced the launch of a new dual sim phone IN 6633 in India. It features a QWERTY Keypad, Wi-fi and dual camera (front and back) for face to face video chatting, a feature expected to be widely used once 3G services become a common thing in India.

The Intex IN 6633 makes use of Nimbuzz to help user connect to various social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, as well as for chatting purposes. For corporate users, it also has the function of Push Mail, which allows access to 10 mail boxes.

The Intex IN 6633 has a 5.8 cm screen with TFT display with a wine-red and black exterior. Other features and functions of the phone include Wireless FM radio with antenna, audio player, web camera, Java, Bluetooth wit A2DP, motion sensor, mobile tracker, answering machine, and auto call record. The phone also has a blacklisting feature which allows users to block up to 10 callers. In terms of storage, the phone has an internal memory of 78MB, which can be expanded up to 8 GB.

The Intex IN 6633 is now available at the price of Rs. 4500
